Shipping Information

Gerda Goosen Jewellery aims to deliver your chosen items to the place and person of your choice, in perfect condition and in the shortest possible time. All purchases are my responsibility while in transit, until delivered to you.

You will receive a tracking number for your package in the order confirmation email. I use DHL for shipping. They ship to over 220 countries globally. I ship to all these countries, except Russia, Ukraine and India.

Shipping address

Please note: all orders will be sent to the address provided during checkout. Please check this address carefully before completing your order. Please also check your contact details carefully.

Dispatch & delivery time

I usually ship within 1 to 2 days. Shipping itself is usually faster than 1 week, barring any transit delays or customs holdups. Thus, total delivery time is almost always within 2 weeks and mostly within 1 week. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched. If your order cannot be delivered within the timeframe specified at the time the order is placed, I will notify you and try to rectify the situation as quickly as is practically possible.

Responsibility

We are responsible for each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by Gerda Goosen Jewellery and transfer of responsibility in the same way.

Duties and taxes

These are different for each country. You are responsible for paying all applicable duties and taxes in your country, unless it is explicitly included (in other words listed as a separate item) in the amount due at checkout. Gerda Goosen Jewellery has no control over charges in relation to customs clearance.

For the USA, total order values (including shipping) below US$800 are duty- and tax-free.

For Australia, total order values (including shipping) below AUD1000 are duty- and tax-free.

For the European Union, duties and taxes are approximately 25% of total order value (including shipping) and are calculated at checkout.

Importation of jewellery from South Africa to some other countries may be duty-free – check with your local customs office or get an estimate at SimplyDuty using the HS codes 7117.90 (for my faux ivory jewellery), 7117.19 (for my metal jewellery) or 7116.20 (for my stone jewellery).
